    A refreshing spearmint tea, highly concentrated with a diverse range of antioxidants in a blend of green tea, spearmint and Dr Red's Modified Polyphenol Extract.
     
    Modified Polyphenol Technology (MPT) relates to polyphenolic compounds, in particular ethoxylated polyphenolic compounds and the use of such compounds in disease prevention, disease treatment and life extension in humans and animals.
     
    Spearole Silky Infusers are a mix of loose leaf green tea, oil of spearmint and our Modified Polyphenol Extract packaged in an easy to to use infuser.

    The Infuser is portion controlled to deliver a 1.5 gram serve.

    Spearole Tea can aid in weight loss, and in reducing blood pressure among other healthy boosting effects.

    Brewing Instructions: Brew 1 tea bag of Spearole MediterrAsian Tea per cup. For best results steep no longer than two minutes.
     
    Ingredients: Green Tea (96%), Oil of Spearmint, Aged French Oak Extract.

    Contains Caffeine from Green Tea.

    French Oak Extract:
    Due to the classifcation of olive leaf extract which meant Dr Red had to remove olive leaf from their ingredients, the focused on the emerging active ingredients of aged French oak extract.
     
    With the introduction of their new technology, Modified Polyphenol Technology, Dr Red had already begun the large scale extraction of the raw materials such as French oak (Quercus robur), the same oak used to make the premium wine barrels.  The proprietary extraction and aging of the French oak chips enhances their potency by shifting these water soluble plant chemicals to more fat soluble, resulting in greater bioavailability.

    The aged French oak extract became the main active ingredient in all Dr Red formulations.


    Scientists at The University of Queensland have made remarkable progress with this blend that boasts powerful antioxidants from superfoods.

    Dr Lindsay Brown, a pharmacologist at Brisbane’s Queensland University, studied the effect of the tea on the health of a group of rats. The creatures were fed a fat and sugar-laden diet which caused the amount of fat around their bellies to double in eight weeks and their blood pressure to soar.

    When Spearole Tea was added to their diet, their waistlines and their blood pressure quickly returned to normal, despite the continuing 'junk food' diet. Dr Brown said it was likely three cups of the tea a day could also help people stay trim, improving overall health.

    Warning that the obesity epidemic threatened to wipe out the gains achieved by improvements to heart health, he said: ’The UK, the US and Australia all have something like 60 per cent of the adult population overweight or obese. ’The decrease in cardiovascular mortality in the last 40 years has added on average six years to life expectancy. ’That is the biggest increase in life expectancy in one generation in the history of the species. ’The control of cardiovascular disease has had an amazing effect on survival and that is at risk from obesity.’

    Researcher Dr Brown said: ’If someone had told me you could do all these things with something as simple as green tea with olive extract I would said they’d been out in the sun too long. ’It is simply amazing.’
